Golf clubs in the boot.

For anyone who may be curious as to whether you can fit golf clubs in the boot, the answer is a resounding yes.

Fitting the driver is a bit of a tight squeeze but it's just about ok, even in the bag. If you take it out and lay it diagonally across the boot it's no problem.

As for a golf trolley, I use the Powakaddy CT8 and this fits in fine. It will fit in with both wheels on but it's very tight, with the glass panel of the screen being very close to touching the roof of the boot, so to avoid any potential issues I take one wheel off and the trolley rests at a jaunty angle, with plenty of clearance to the roof of the boot.

I can't fit in my driver or 3 wood, even across ways. They go alongside the passenger seat

This is important stuff and relates directly to car specifications. 8)
I feel I should just keep repeating my previous post.
Sorry, if you haven't guessed I'm not into 'swish-feck-it!'

Had to drop the tour bag but still couldn’t believe the space in that boot. I do have to put the driver and 3 wood in the passenger seat but that’s no problem. The G29 certainly has the space compared to some other cars I’ve had. I had to put the back seats down of my merc c300 coupe, even that was a struggle due to the sill bar that ran behind the rear seats.

Nothing beats a days golf, load the car a getting the roof down :driving:

Not gonna lie. I used to carry my clubs on the passenger seat in the e89, but the g29 handles it all perfectly including the trolley.
Driver goes in at end.

Oh dear. There goes the forum.
Yep. It's called progress. You get the 'well-heeled' people buying these new-fangled expensive G29s and of course they are going to be fecking golfers.

I hate to say it, but they bought the wrong bloody car if they want to carry long sticks around, but there is no telling them.

A Fender Stratocaster guitar, in its flight case, also fits in the G29 boot.

A big improvement on the E89 which wouldn’t take the guitar and had to be carried in the passenger space.

But the long sticks fit in the car nicely and we can the roof down on the way to the course on a nice sunny day. ;)

The ///M could take a golf bag. My surfboard had to go in the passenger seat though.

Lucky to get a pair of golf shoes in the Mx5. :o

The G29 with the roof down looks great on a sunny afternoon in the golf club car park.

Forgive Pondy, he cant be perfect like the rest of us :poke:

I have a problem with Golf - I cant hit the ball, but the boot is much bigger than the FType which was my alternative, we need the space for touring luggage. The E85 was pretty good too but probably not wide enough for golf clubs.

Open your eyes, swing slow and low and you will be fine  :driving:

No drivers in the boot unless you take the head off to avoid a snapped shaft. :?

I couldn't get my Walther KK500 in the boot.

I had some golf lessons once. The guy said when you get home you want to cut six inches off all your clubs. I asked him if that would help me play better and he said no, it'll make it easier to fit them in the bin.
