I have some rules for any passengers in my Z4 and I was curious if others here have the same.

1. No eating in the car
2. No smoking
3. bottled drinks only
4. wipe your shoes before entering I have beige floor mats and we all know how difficult they are to keep clean.
5. No fat chicks ( okay that's a joke they need loving too)but seriously the car is small and not intended for larger individuals.
6. Never touch the radio or Ipod without asking.
7. Only I can drive the car so do not even ask.
8. No keys in pants pockets they can poke a hole in the leather.
9. No pets, fur is impossible to get out.

Did I miss any? :driving:

A little more stringent than mine, but close. Keys in pants pocket (front) are ok, NEVER any hanging off a belt loop or out of the back pocket. #7 should be on a little brass plate stuck to the dash!

Oh, and I keep the cup holders hidden--I only use them to transport my coffee cup from home to work anyway. I don't partake while driving!

#10 No 'bottom burps'
#11 No complaining about the way I drive
#12 No animal rights campaigners
#13 No ugly women
#14 Scream if you wanna go faster

15: No belts
16: No trousers that stain (new jeans)
17: Do not put the seat so far back that it rubs against the back
18: Don't touch the dashboard and leave fingerprints.
19: Don't touch the door cards when exiting the car with the shoes
20: No wet shoes without a towel on the floor.

#'s 1-4, 6, 7, 11, 13, 14.

Hmm other ones I use,
#15 Don't touch me or the steering wheel if i'm driving in a spirited fashion or heavy traffic
#16 No screaming unless we are parked :P

#17- when entering the car, never- 1. drop your body weight against the seat and let it "catch" you.
2. never ever attach your ass against the back rest and slide all the way down while draging you sand paper like jeans all over the back rest of the seat.

just thinking of it make me nervous :o

#18 enter the car while holding you body weight on leg muscles gently approaching the seat and gently getting into position.

2. No smoking
17: Do not put the seat so far back that it rubs against the back
18: Don't touch the dashboard and leave fingerprints.
19: Don't touch the door cards when exiting the car with the shoes
20: Do not, for any reason, touch the interior glass. (my personal quirk, I'm crazy with this)
21: Leave it the same way you found it. don't leave any bits of paper etc.
22: yes, I'm parking this far from the door.

17: Do not put the seat so far back that it rubs against the back

That may have to be my new #1 I can not tell you how annoying that is.

yap, and the way the passenger looks back at you in the "there is a stain on the bmw build quality reputation !" kind of look

23: No leaning on (or excessive friction against) the seat's side bolster on entering / exiting!
24: No touching the sun visor without seeking tuition on how to handle the spring back

All the above+ the big one

NO HANGING ON THE WINDSHIELD WHEN THE TOP IS DOWN .

PUCKER SPOTS ON THE BOTTOM CUSHION IS FINE AS LONG AS THEY SMOOTHE THEM OUT ON EXIT.

NO DISCUSSION ON USE OF SPORT BUTTON

NO SITTING ON THE CAR FROM THE OUTSIDE

I knew there was a super major rule I was forgetting and pvr got it with #17. I will stop in 10 feet to stop that noise from the seat.

Also while it's not a rule for other people I really hate when they use there hands to close the door by putiing them on the glass or clean door. I use two fingers on the black window seal

* Be sure the seat belt buckle is completely INSIDE before closing the door.
* If the door does not close all the way, do NOT "bump" it with your butt to close it.
* Use the pull-down handle to close the trunk (boot). Don't push down on it.
* If the top is down, and the wind bothers your hair, wear a hat. The top stays down.

I have to show my wife this thread as she thinks I am the only nutter in the world when I mention any of those things ...

Cripes, lots of rules :D

I just say enjoy the ride and no whinging!

Obviously don't want damage like keys in leather (nasty) but generally everything can be fixed, cleaned, or is a wear item :)

Mine's an everyday drive and I do tend to drive it, clean it and fix anything, but a few 'rules':

No keys, etc. anywhere near the car.
Nobody else washes it, ever. I don't need an 18 year old trainee at Bimmer giving it a water and gravel bath.
Only I put it in and out the garage as I don't feel the need to drive into the freezers.
It's not parked near any other cars, unless it's the last slot and if that slot has a car with child seats next to it I leave.
Mrs CJ keeps away from kerbs or else....
