Going to the Geneva Motor show

I've just booked flights to go to the Geneva motor show next month, I've always fancied going and it looks like this is the year. I guess I should be able to check out the new Z4 in the flesh. I also want to see the Ferrari California (my current PC wallpaper for aspirational purposes!). Anybody else going / been in the past?

Been before, it's a great show. quite tempted to go this year - but not sorted anything out yet. Might struggle to get a hotel near the exhibition centre now. Last time I went, we flew out first thing on a Friday, did the show, and then stayed overnight before flying back the next morning.

You will need a full day though - the size of the show is huge! I don't know about motorshows in Spain, but it certainly puts any of our British Motorshows to shame!

Thanks sixspeed. I haven't been to any shows in Spain although when I lived in the UK I went to the Earls court motor show and one in Birmingham, don't remember which show it was. This was years ago. I've always heard that Geneva is the mother of all motor shows.

I'm meeting a friend from London in Geneva and he's sorting the hotels out via his company so hopefully he'll be able to get us something decent and close. We arrive on Sunday evening and leave on Tuesday afternoon which gives us one full day checking out cars and a couple of nights to check out the nightlife! :D

I was trying to keep things tasteful and grown up but I guess that's out the window now!! I'm quite keen on checking out some of those lovely models draped around the cars and wondering what kind of chat up line would be appropriate

I'll have my camera on hand and hope to have some decent pics to post on my return, if not it's :headbang:
