So guys I'm now 90% sure I'm going to sell my zed! but I've never sold privately before. It's in the garage getting a problem with the ABS fixed at the moment - then I'll be happy to sell on here

So two things I would like help with
1. How do you deal with the money transfer?
2. What value would it have?
Details are Sep 2007 3.0 SI SE Coupe in Bright Red with sports seats including Isofix seat and Airbag deactivation
3 owners before me, I've had it since June 11, it's done 73K miles, FSH I've taken it to my local Indy which I've been using for 15 years.its got the Sports steering wheel, Cruise, and is running on 18" Ellipsoids with fairly new Goodyear EagleF1 asymmetric's. I will post pic's when I do a proper advert but a lot of you know this car well and the only unusual feature is the leather covered dash and centre panel.

Guess I'll be at the back on forum runs in the future

Photo from Silverstone parade lap (the only time it's been on-track) lots more in the various meets and events - it's the only Bright Red Coupe I've seen on any runs we've been on.

Presume its followed the correct service regime & if so what was its last one & when ?
No knocks squeeks or rattles from the usual suspects

When you list it make sure the red paint is gleaming & tyres are slicked :D then add a few decent external photos & also some of the bespoke leather work .
Dependent on what service or repairs may be looming i would kick off £9250 /£9450 with a advert here & also a Ebay classified advert for £14.99 (30 day listing) thats the one that you can monitor page views & watchers .
Interest or lack of will soon give you the current private value which should be between £8500 / £9500 :? jmo
Best of luck with the replacement

It's OK Taz, it will be another Coupe  I've always wanted to own a Lotus and having tried out the Evora recently I've decided to go for it. I am still worrying that I'm going to regret this though - not helped by being told by a Garage that the coupes are starting to go up in value.

Thanks Mr Wilks, yes it's always been serviced on time and with instruction to replace anything necessary, I've never penny pinched with this car, partly as I've never considered parting with it

You must be the expert on Money transfers as well

Haha , ive done a few transactions
Either funds into your bank before the exchange of keys or cash ( in sealed bank bags if at all possible  ) or combination of both as i did with the M last week

Btw , bluestreak has a system for pricing these cars much more scientific than my hit & hope method  drop him a PM with the cars details

Every time I've sold a car no matter where else it might be advertised I've always ended up selling it through the Auto trader to a no nonsense buyer

Payment wise I'd go for cash paid into your bank account on the day or instant bank transfer. Those are the only safe methods.
