The time has come for me to sell my 3.0 Si . I never thought it would happen as I have put so much time and money into it but I now have the Z4M and I cant justify having two Z4`s . I have just done a 4,500 mile trip in it through France and Spain with my better half and a group of like minded people and temperatures as high as 44 degrees without any overheating issues etc . I shall be putting up a for sale post within the next 2 weeks once I have decided on a price as I want to sell the car as it is even though I would get more for it by selling the parts .I still have the original roof and tailgate plus original aluminium interior trim and badging. The car cost me 8,500 and I have spent over 20,000 on upgrades/parts without labour charge and I am aware that I`m not going to get all of that back .I would love to hear suggestions on what you think the car is worth ( opening myself up for a fall here :) ) and If anyone is looking for a fast road / track day ready car that is ready to go then please get in touch with me .

I'm not qualified to comment on E86 values, but I would say that what you see as upgrades are simply modifications to others, so don't get too excited about getting your money back. You have kind of made your car desirable to a smaller market.
Good luck and I hope it sells well for you.

Good point made as some peoples point of view on modifications against upgrades is different and I accept that . I did say that i`m not expecting to get all of my money back . Thanks

Would it be feasible to swap back the high cost parts and sell them separately?
Yes some of it is feasible but not something I really want to do . It would mean just finding an original exhaust / diff / rear bumper as I have most of the rest of items and it would be the best way of getting a higher return. A lot of time and work involved though that I have already spent doing the "mods" The roof has also been painted Carbon Black to compliment the car and the tailgate colour matched to the cars Montego Blue so would have to find someone that already had a Montego Blue Z4 or they would have to get those parts resprayed .

Personally, I'd be removing those kind of upgrades, and selling them separately. GLWTS.
Yes it would make sense financially but please see read my response to Meds that I have just posted . Obviously I hadn`t posted my reply to Meds when you posted your reply it just saves me posting it twice :)
