Going to see a bit of Scotland.

This is the drive up to the hotel from last night. We stopped at the Ben Wyvis Hotel in Strathpeffer. Even though the hotel is a bit out of the way and I nearly changed to the route. I am so glad we didn't..!!

What a cracking place and the staff are so helpful. Would defo recommend it if you are up this way.

Done Achmelvich Beach today and the route from Dundonnell to Poolewe and then onto Kinlochewe. Staying in Newtonmore now and ready for some grub. Long drive back home tomorrow but this car just eats miles. I have been amazed how fast we have got around the upper parts of Scotland. We would have done more with a bit of experience but at least we are now equipped for the next trip.

I used to work at the Ben Wyvis Hotel when I was 14 ( a long time ago). The whole of Strathpeffer is full of hotels and I worked in quite a few of them cleaning pots etc.

Used to be quite a party wee place.

Glad you had a good trip despite the weather turning a bit.

Weather really hasn't affected us. We were lucky to get some decent shots at Achmelvich today and there has only been a little bit of rain.

It's still a beautiful place, even when the weather is crap.... :D

Photos look amazing! Route looks good too! Personally not a big fan of the A9 to Inverness. However the west coast route I did something similar last summer and it is :thumbsup: Hope you had a good trip!

I recently did this trip to collect some alloy wheels (sadly in the Gashqai), great scenery up there so definitely on the list to drive in the Zed plus it was up and back in the same day
