Hey all, thought I'd join the club I originally had a S2000 then I moved to an M3 but I've had a bad itch for a while now and I just had to scratch it so I've gotten myself a 3.0SI in carbon black with black seats and the composite alloys :) it's a 2008 show room model with just a few miles on the clock :)

I CANT WAIT!! hehe so anxious now, it's got all the options except the Nav, got the basic stereo which I prefer cos it makes life much easier for me to place my own equipment in there.

I'll post pics soon :)

may well do-depends how well you drive it-- but mine still would look, sound and feel better!

Look and sound are both subjective so you might personally like your car's characteristics over the S2ks. As for 'feel' - nah!

I also think the S2000 might have the edge on sound when it's in the VTEC zone 8)

so why did u buy a z4 instead of an s2k?
I had a Civic Type-R and it wasn't much of an upgrade moving to a S2000. Also the S2000 was a bit too raw and I'm getting old now and needed something with a bit more comfort.

It came down to either 350Z or 3.0si coupe, the Z4 just edged it, due to the looks and desirability. But if it the came down to handling and noise the 350Z wins.

Not sure if you have been in a high performance VTEC car before, but driven correctly they are impressive.

I have driven a few S2000's... I was going to buy one before I got the Zed... On balance I prefer the zed, but in terms of driving experience the S2k wins hands down (IMHO). Gearbox is far better, and the steering wheel gives feedback that it is actually controlling the wheels... my Zed does not do that LOL!

The S2K was allot of fun, mine was heavily modified but it was loud, picked up allot of road noise, rattles etc. I too am getting old and am loving the comfort, auto etc of the Z4 :) the M3 was just too big for me and was a waste of fuel but was great to drive.

Welcome! Quite a few of us went from S2000's to Z4s. Both fantastic cars.
Best compliment I can pay the S2000 is that only the Z4M can outshine it as a 'smile on yer face' drivers car IMO. I've seen some of the very last being sold off brand new by dealers at £21k wich is a fantastic price. I was even tempted for a while as my car comes out of warranty this week.
