Going to buy my first Z4

Well I think I may have found a Z4. A local garage has advertised a 53 plate 2.2 with 63k on the clock for less than 4K. Will be going to look at it this coming week hoping that I have found the one..... one owner from new with full service history (will check the province of this). MOT history shows that it fails on broken rear coils back in 2016 so they will be done. Checking with my local BMW garage if it has dealer history.

Will keep very one updated
 
Called BMW the car was service by a dealer up until the end of 2009.

Slowly finding the history..... Also have seen a hardtop on eBay in the same colour....Think I maybe getting a bit excited before I have even seen it.....

"£3", I'd have given you at least a fiver for it, maybe a tenner depending on how much go-juice was in the tank :D

Looks tidy, at least with the 2.2 you get a 6 cyl engine.

I must say I am surprised that the Coupe owners managed to restrain themselves from silly comments on this thread !

Barranak - don't worry, hang around this forum for a while and you will learn more than you could ever want to know about the Z4. Also all versions of the Z4 are good, if one appeals to your gut instinct (like the one you bought), then you have bought the right one. :thumbsup:

Well i am now a proud owner of a 2003 2.2 SE Z4.

It is truly a fantastic car to drive....
A couple of things I need... so advise greatly received if any one has some experience....

Standard spec car with a Buisness CD head unit could really do with bluetooth or Aux in for an iphone 7

Because it is standard spec it has no cup holder should i buy a OEM one, or is there better options?

The wing mirror position adjustement on the drivers door is playing up all works except the up direction for both mirrors, though if I persist then it does move every now and then...

There is some scuffing and scratching to the internal door release handles are they easy to replace?

The car was kept in a garage before and the drivers door opened on to the wall quite regular so I have a white edge to the drivers door, any recommendations on repair strategy?

Hi Andy, any issues with the car like the mirrors not working properly-take it back to the dealer ASAP & give them a chance to fix it :thumbsup:
Should be guides on here for wiring in an aux plug, standard cupholders are convenient but easily broken, an alternative can be bought from machine monkey on here :P
