Okay.....first off congratulations. Its the most scary but the most amazing thing being a father.

My advice. Get the best, fun car you can and enjoy it. If you have a family car that works then great but I can assure you it's essential to have a little bit of joy on the garage! Trust me. I've been there :headbang:

Good luck man

Yes, I've read on the forum that you sold your Zed, got a 335 (if I am correct) and now back to the roadster... I suppose you mostly drive it on your own or as a daily?

Drive on my own at the moment but my son is nearly a year old and the new MR has isofix (sorry mum; only room for two)

OK, you have the bigger balls on here :P
I don't really see many moments I will drive on my own or even with my son/daughter ...

A Z4 Coupe targa top would really be the best of both worlds...

I'll admit it frightens me, suddenly I'll be responsible for someone... I'll have to take the Zed for a spin each time I can't cope :P

This is probably the most touching topic I've read on a forum... Congratulations, you must be so happy!

I remember looking at my son a couple of days after he was born and that's when the realisation dawned on me that I was responsible for this little bundle for the next 18 years or so! I had a proper wobble moment (I was 19 and had just got married 6 months before - no it wasn't a shotgun wedding! Lol).

BUT there I was driving my son Jamie to collect his GCSE results yesterday, proud as punch with his grades (2A*s, 6 A's and 2 Cs) and I can honestly say that the last 16/17 years haven't been the most easiest but have been SO much more rewarding for having Jamie in my life.

Enjoy the time with your children, cherish every moment because the time flies!

Having said that Jamie will always be my little baby <3

I can perfectly understand the "wobble" moment. For 35 years now I've been responsible for myself and when you're a little older, you worry much less then before when it comes to career and financials. But now (as you said it) I'm responsible for someone and what I do, how I raise him/her will affect his/her life forever. The first 20 years of your life are probably the most important ones.

But indeed, I do look forward to being able to share my passions, my values, my thoughts and my standards with my son/daughter.
