Hi everybody!

Haven't been around for a while as you've noticed perhaps.
Unfortunately, besides that, as of June I had to let my M go as I needed the money to start up a new business.
It was a hard choice and I really, really miss the car, especially being at the beginning of the best season.
Everytime I see a Z4 I feel the urge to be cruising on a twisting country road, top down, sun up, listening to the snarl of the 3.2 litre as I push it trough the curves and just being the nuisance of the road.
Unfortunately that isn't possible now.

It's been great knowing you all and wishing you the best for the future.
Once the business is up and running and I can afford a new toy, I'll be looking for the new Z? M with the V8.. muahaha ;)
Maybe we'll meet again then.

Until then, I have been informed that as of now, all PW'ing is strictly forbidden ... yeah, right :poke: :P

Regards,
Color

PS! Say goodbye to that lovely avatar, you won't be seeing it again for a while

PS2! Zee42, save some of those cruise missiles for me just in case, will ya

No car is not an excuse to disappear though :o

Good luck with the new business - what is it?

Phil. I really hope they will make one :o

I haven't been very active on the forum the last six months, so selling the car won't make it any better I'm afraid :(

The new business is outsourcing of IT services to South America - we get your development done mostly abroad and at a lower cost but with highly skilled local personell leading each project in the country of origin.
Should be a great opportunity to improve working conditions in South America and provide an competitive edge price wise while maintaining the same quality of work.

Hope you have good luck with that. I have been dealing with the India companies for the outsourced development and feel like stringing myself up sometimes ... like yourself, I am responsible for the result implementation and have been banging my head against the wall :headbang:

hey, good luck, man! have fun & enjoy the hell outta life*

'til next time~

Thanks for the wellwishes! :)

Given that I've been working in the IT industry there for 9 years, I know the language in as much depth as my native one, I know the culture, the humor, the do's & don'ts, what people look for as an employee, what we can offer that makes us better than the others etc.
As well having gained an extensive network of highly skilled IT professionals, many former colleagues and personal friends, which gains me a unique possibility to tap into an extensive network of trustworthy people, friends of friends etc.
People I have worked with for years.

I consider that to be a very competitive edge that will smoothen out things considerably.
And the idea is to be spending some parts of the year in South America, working close to our employees.
All things being Eutopian that means bye bye winter, hello eternal summer

But of course, the problems you describe here we are very well aware of and are consciously building up our structure around solutions which will minimize the 'headbanging' and maximize a close- and result oriented cooperation.
It's going to be very interesting. And very challenging. But also so much more fun to see things get together!

We have spoken on IM but I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being involved with the forum on both a member and a moderator level.

I am sure I speak for everyone on here in wishing you all the best in your endeavors. You are of course welcome back at any time, and I am sure we would all love to hear how you are getting on if you would care to drop us an update from time to time.

All the best!

Jim
