Going 19" square. Or do I? And can I reuse them after e89?

I'm in an e89 lease. The runflats suck and won't last the whole lease. I want to buy a set of nice wheels that have a chance to be reused on my next car. From what I sniffed around e89 wheels will generally fit f22, e46 and e36, and with some questions in the front of e90s and f30s. That would be awesome. I also want to go square, not staggered.

The way I came up with, confirmed working for e89s:
- 19x8.5
- 245/35r19

One concern is whether the 19" with 35 profile ride won't be too hardcore on the light Z4.

Other questions:

1) does that have a chance of working out or do I fool myself?

2) could I make an attempt to keep this compatible to e.g. e46 M3s by getting wheels with less offset and use spacers? E.g. get 20mm offset wheels and use 10mm space on the e89? It that pushing the project into stupidity?

3) The BBS SRs pop up in 18x8 for the e89 on tirerack's website. The 19x8.5 pop up for the e90 but not for the e89. Why is that? Spacing seems OK to me. Brakes shouldn't be bigger on the e89 than the e90. Any idea?

Overall I am thinking these wheels, if the SRs don't work out:

I assume those wheels are a bit fragile but I can live with that.

And the Hankook VENTUS V12 EVO2 245/35ZR19.

I want snappy steering and good grip in wet. If I go autocross it won't be on these wheels. Random thoughts welcome. Want to order soon.

Love the BBS SRs :driving:
No concerns going for E90 spec wheels whether 18 or 19 / 8 or 8.5 or even 9
Tyres if you are wanting good wet ( & dry ) grip + soft ride then look up the Uniroyal Rs3s , made by Michelin im just running a pair of 235 35 19s in & am already very impressed in every department

Can somebody confirm or deny whether
- 245/35r19
- 245/40r18

would fit a e89 in front, given carefully picked offset?

I see conflicting information, especially about the 18" 245mm.

Wheel width & offset has to play a major part but lets assume you are asking about
235 35 19 on a 8.5j wheel with et 35 / a 245 40 18 on a 8.5j wheel .
It will be almost identical in height & rolling circumference (under 1% different)
You can get all the info you need & play around with numbers here http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/q576/beaucostil/2tone108s011_zpse3c5de67.jpg

Well the problem I have is the width in the front of the e89.

245mm, whether it be 18" or 19", adds a centimeter inside and outside. I see conflicting information on whether that works at all, and if so what the best offset would be.

If I had to scale down to 235mm I'd probably rather toss the entire plan to go with a square setup.

Wait. I have a brilliant plan.

Tirerack doesn't give a multi item shipping discount anyway.

I could order 2 wheels with tires in 245mm and try them in the front. If they fit I order 2 more 245s. If not I order 235mms instead.

Now - BBS SRs or O.Z. Formula HLT?
