 i'm from the bay (california)
so...

this guy right here is MOVING back to CALIFORNIA!

san jose/blossom hill to be exact*

*sigh of relief*

southern florida doesn't beat my home. except for the beaches. i WILL give southern florida that. the beaches are phenomenol!!

but anyways.... this ends my rant. thank you for listening & have a wonderful day.

yes. major congrats. thank you!

new job? no. im going back to running a cafe. im focusing on my education, though. im almost done... but this stay in florida put a hamper on it and going back home will afford me many more opportunities to make significant amounts of money. waaay more than florida ever offered.

why i came to florida?? the missus had some unfinished business to take care of and is now finished. we sold her assets, took the money... and now we're running [back to cali].

Well they say “There is no place like home”

They also say “You can never go home again”

That is just one of the reasons I’m not leaving this area. I have been in all but 3 states on vacation and business and all seem to have good and bad qualities as well as good and bad people. Not to be overly poetic, but home is where the heart is and unless you find that place, you will always be restless and searching. For me it is here, if only I could get all those Californians to go back home again. :poke:

Congratulations, sounds great. I live away from "home" and maybe one day will go back :)

You can never have too much money

For having lived in Florida and California myself, you are probably aware that the cost of living in the Bay area is roughly 26.34 times the cost of living in Florida. :o

You know that there are 50 states now, right??? :poke: :poke: :P

Well actually when Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and me were setting the states up, we never thought there would be more states than 15 or 16, 20 at tops. Many folks east of the Mississippi are not sure to this day. Other than California and Texas most have never heard of any other states in the west. And most could care less. We like it like that. :D

 There are actual states east of the Rockies?????

Wow - no one ever told me people actually lived over there :o

Which end of Blossom Hill? Was over there last thursday. East end has really grown up since I had been over there last.

Yal, i live right down the street from oakridge mall - vista park drive, lanfair drive, pearl, branham.. those are all streets i could walk to in about 1 minute. i pretty much live on the border of san jose and blossom hill. my exit is capitol expressway on highway 87 and if i come from 85, i hope on the capitol expressway junction.

pmeloche, i've lived in california my whole life and am well adjusted to the cost of living and the way of life there. and, considering that i got my old job back, money isn't a factor - otherwise i would have been seriously stuck in florida (not good).

and now, i can finish school at one of the many universities they have scattered around.

it does help to have wealthy parents & a big house! but, i'll only be there for a month, until i get my first 2 paychecks again and buy a condo. either that, or just get an apartment with the missus and take out a fat student loan. either way... life will be better/good in the coming weeks.

F**kin A Phil, F**kin A. That song and California hold a special place in my soul. Good luck with your move.

thank you for enlightening me

good music

the only downside to the move.... i will not have the opportunity to be on this forum as much as i have been these past months. my cali job DOES have internet access for me to use... but i'll be too busy with too much damn responsibility. won't have as much time on this place as i would like to have.

oh well.... blackberries and wifi!!

and thank you jbz4

Real estate in that area is getting real affordable again. Hey, i got dumped in the parking lot of the Oakridge Mall (isn't it a westfield mall now?).

Yal, yea, it's a westfield mall now. as for real estate... yup. there's a bunch of development around that mountain/hill that has this strange looking tower. it looks like a bunch of townhomes (maybe condos).

Cool fresh meat on the west coast. I hope we get a chance to do a NorCal meets SoCal one day.
