My oldest daughter just got her drivers license yesterday morning. She just had her first solo flight to meet friends for lunch. One more thing to keep me up at night!

And NO, she does not get to drive the Z4!!!

Ahhhh....the insurance cost....

Not as bad as I feared with both driver's ed and good student discounts. After we get our annual rebate, it will end being under $1,000 per year. Friends of hers are paying quite a bit more.

I tried to teach my daughter how to drive my car. She refused! What's wrong with the youth these days?

I have had the same issue with my daughter. She is 26 now and no violations or accidents but does not want to learn to drive my Zed... :idunno:

I was very lucky that my Dad taught me to drive. Up to date I have never had any accidents (Touch wood) and I can thank him for teaching me so well.

Dad's should not worry so much. There is more important things to worry about then their driving skills.

I know she's a good kid, but now I can't be there to protect her all the time. It's hard when they start out on their own ... the first day at school, the first date, the first solo drive. We can't help worrying, its in our DNA.

Just to add to your sleepless nights. I had three daughters and each wrecked one of my cars. :( :( :x

Ah the vehicle and your drivers license.

Your proof to the world that you are independent!

At least so long as Dad keeps giving you gas money!
