go fast jungle juice - how much ??

Well in over 40 years of car ownership I've never had a convertible, so I'm not sure it's my thing! :?

shame on you sir !" - live a little !

I've taken to a bit of throttle blippery now my back box has been played with. :D
Fuel wise I use Tesco's Momentum or Costco's 99 Super and only if I absolutely have to the super expensive Shell V Power stuff. Costco is always the cheapest, usually about 4p/l cheaper than Tesco. Indeed Costco's Super is usually cheaper than Shell's ordinary stuff near me!
Super wise though, you folks need to run a good few tanks to full get rid of any ordinary grade stuff left/mix with the super. Even if your tank was bone dry when you put the good stuff in, it takes a good few tank fulls for the fuel trims, ignition advance etc etc to adjust to the higher octane so sorry guys its not an overnight process.
Probably worth resetting the adaptions if you can when you switch or at least doing a throttle adaption to speed things along, especially if you've driving it harder looking for the extra urge

There is no doubt having a modified exhaust is the factor here for blipping or not blip , if you don't have, you don't get the noise and so don't bother, it's that simple
All hail the bloopers, brings out the child in you :driving:

Yes, loving it.
Perhaps controversial, but I asked myself, would red be my first choice, and the answer was no.
But yes, am enjoying the car, plenty of grunt and just love the fact it gives me the best of both worlds , being a coupe or a convertible.
You need to try one.
Don’t think you’d be disappointed

Well in over 40 years of car ownership I've never had a convertible, so I'm not sure it's my thing! :?

And I do love Red cars, although I've only had 2! First was a MK2 Escort RS2000 back in the 80s, then recently I had an Imola Red E46 325ti Compact.

So if I do move on from my E86, an Imola Red Z4MC looks like the most likely option! Just need to check for lost cash down the back of the sofa now.

But as you say the 3 litre N52 engine does have plenty of grunt - even in the E90 330i I just got as a daily! :)

Sir, find a sunny day and some rolling hills or just a long wind-ey open road, preferably not too busy and 'borrow' a ragtop with the top down and let us know how you get on. I have never looked back and will never not have a convertible in my motoring life.

There is nothing like it! And with the sound track a 2.5, 3.0 or an M will give you... Well, you need to experience it for yourself.

absolutely.
you really get to hear that engine with the roof down.
even on colder days, i have the heater on complete with wooly hat to keep the hairless head heated, and it makes the ride much more enjoyable.
i grin constantly when i blip the throttle, especially 4th to 3rd when slowing down :P
i am easily pleased mind.

Agreed 100%. My Zed is my first convertible in over 40 cars, it's a revelation to me. Warm, late evening drives roof down are a particular treat.

You missed out the key piece of info we all wanted - did it bring your blips back??
i need to go for a drive at the very least to be able to tell if any, my mpg since filling up is 14.5 which tells you how much sitting it traffic i do

ya know.. i really feel sorry for coupe owners as they will never know the sound a zed makes. when i am forced to put the roof up i just have to open the window to let the sound in - is it just me ?

Preach on, Preacher! :driving:

By all means stick Tesco99, BP Ultimate or Shell V-Power in and see if it makes a difference.

What gains you'll find with one tank in a 2.0 isn't really going to change your life much.

With the 3.0 SI there is a noticeable difference with Tesco99 compared to BP Ultimate compared to Shell V-Power with the best performance from the V-Power fuel.

Got to ask why you don't put the Tesco99, BP Ultimate or Shell V-Power in all the time? It's all I've used since I got the car.

I can open my hatch and let the glorious cacophony of my Rogue Diablo exhausts in - and it gives me extra downforce :P

I can also throw things into the boot, or get my passenger to retrieve items from the boot, without stopping.

If it slows you down it's drag...but if it saves you from falling off the track then it's downforce
