GM5 Repair/Cartronics

Well, firstly it's great to see this forum thriving. I was one of the early contributors on here when the forum started - I probably haven't been here for 10+ years. Anyone still on here that remembers the days of Sim Simma or Mish Mosh?!

...but - I still have my E85 Z4 that I picked up 2 days after launch in the UK back in June 2003. 18 years and just over 30,000 miles later (I know, I know!) It's still in great shape, and although the cursed GM5 gremlins took up residence a few years ago, it wasn't really a hassle given the miles I was doing and that it was straightfoward enough to unlock the driver's door with the key. But... the problem's now extended to not unlocking the fuel filler cap. I've been fortunate enough to get it to unlock with some quite frankly random keyfob and internal central locking button pressing, but I suspect my luck will run out on that one sooner or later, so time to get it fixed.

I'm planning on sending the GM5 to Cartronics in Byfleet. Has anyone used them for the repair? If so, thoughts on their service would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.
