Glovebox

Hi All, slight problem was driving the other day and heard what sounded like a screw rolling around the glovebox, I pulled over and open the glovebox and the glovebox on the left handside has come away from the hinge!!! ive had a look around the footwell and cant find what seems to be a missing part???? does anyone know how to fix it?would dealer be able to supply the missing part???
 
fairly common problem by all accounts, sure somebody will provide you with further info soon, or you could do a search :wink:
 
if i recall the glove box as a round pin that pushes in

when i fitted my parrot kit i took the glove box out, when i refitted it I had to slide a pin/bar where it swivels

sorry that does not make much sense
 
Yes, the two parts slide over each other to form the hinge.
 
is it not just floating around somewhere?

the whole glovebox can be taken out, a dozen or so screws - not a big job
 
This has happened to me this morning, does anyone know if it was a missing/broken part for this two peace hinge, i have not been able to look just yet?
