Glovebox Light Retrofit

Is it possible (easily) to fit a glovebox light in an E85 Z4?

I definitely don't have one, but Google seems to suggest some do.

Well that's a new one!

'They' say that early 2003/04 cars had a full loom installed including for accessories not fitted, like heated seats or cruise, so if yours is early it may have the wiring. Having said that are you sure the lamp just hasn't simply been removed? it seems surprising that a BMW wouldn't have one.

Mine doesn't have one either. I just wired an LED bulb to my interior/footwell light and taped it out of view in the glovebox. Works well!

That's definitely a surprise. :o

The last car I had that didn't have one was my 1st car - a 1967 MK2 Cortina!

I think they might have done originally but they eventually rust away to nothing :P

I doubt mine ever had one! It was so billy basic it had no carpet, just rubber mats on the floor.

100% not there - from the pictures I've seen online the glovebox itself is a different shape to accommodate it.

No references on RealOEM though, which is weird.
