Glove box light?

I’m sure many have noticed I have multiple posts going as I try to sort a bunch of issues with my wife’s Z. Thanks to everyone who has read my posts and/or commented (without snark at some of my newbie questions).

While simultaneously trying to address issues with the conv top and address several dash light errors, I noticed a small multi plug hanging down beneath the glove box. I also noticed that there are is no lights in glove box or footwell.

What exactly am I looking at (see photo) and where does this get plugged? I looked but didn’t see an obvious place to plug it in.

Check the other footwell too. Is there a light in there?
Some models didn't have footwell lights, but the loom was there.
Simple check, remove the one from the boot and try it on that plug.
Hard to see but in your photo it looks like there is a light at the very top? Maybe just umplugged?

If you don't have footwell lights, but the loom is in place, you should see rectangular slots in the panel. Simply get hold of the correct light, sslot it in and attach the plug.
Not all gloveboxes came with lights. If they did then they also had a plunger switch on the right side.
