I'm sure I've had this same conversation recently - maybe it is deja vu or just another forum 
Very easy, just get another glovebox and replace it in 5 minutes (instructions are for a US model which has a kneepad built in).
If you want to try and fix it in situ, then it becomes a pain as you'll have lost the pin and/or some of the plastic it goes into will have disappeared.
I bought a replacement from a breakers for £40-ish and just swapped the lock over before fitting it.
There's a black one on ebay now for £56.50 or best offer
