Glove box handle advice

So this morning we went out in the Zed, from East Sussex to Rye. The roads were empty, the sun was shining and the roof was down. Really got a chance to put my foot down and enjoy the twisties. I often lock the glove box when the roofs down to stop an opportunist robbing me of my ray-ban's when I leave the top down...

When locked I *used* to only be able to move the handle about 3 or 4 mm. When I got home I noticed that although the lock still works, the handle clicks passed 3-4mm to its full range of movement with little force.

Is it on its way out? I'm guessing so. I'm wandering if I can strip and re build it to get it going or if its f*cked and get a new one. Hopefully the barrels ok so I can still lock it with my key.

Had a look at the old handle posts but they are all about handles that are properly broken.

If you need a new handle I've got one from a replacement glove box I bought when the hinge broke on mine.

Great stuff

I'll have a play around with it tomorrow and see what state it's in. I would have a look now but I have had a few to many beers to start picking up screwdrivers and aiming them at the Zed.

I'll give you a message if I need the handle and can arrange a price etc then. :)
