Gloss Black 108s

Hi guys just looking for opinions ( or if anyone could photoshop ) what you think Gloss Black or Matte Black 108s would look like on a Merlot Roadster. Totally naff or ultra cool. :D :D Thanks in advance and be gentle Steve
 
It's a total taste thing and IMO, I would'nt go gloss black 108's on anything, regardless of the Merlot colour. For me gloss black wheel always look like they've been painted with Humbrol. The matt could look good although the 108 style would probably look too skinny if that makes any sense. You may need more spokes/wheel to make it work.

On a merlot I'd personally go for a matt silver CSL style or Clubsports. If you wanted OEM then standard 108's or Ellipsoids.

Best bet is to pic a few favorites then try and Photoshop them in to see how they looks. Or do a Merlot thread search here and see what others are rocking on each corner.
 
Here you are; was a bit bored anyway! CSL, Ellipsoid and Type 125's (Clubsport?) on a Merlot.

 
If you want, when you know what wheels you'd like to see on the car, PM a pic of your car side on and I'll Photoshop it for you (I told you I was bored!)
 
You could look at mine if it helps. Rims left polished with spokes same as car, Saphire black.

hi Inkey$ wheels am looking for are the 108s that are already on the car but was looking for opinions on colour ie blabk matte or gloss os perhaps a more shiny silver than standard dark at moment so cant post side on pic :D :D if i knew how to do it. Thank you for taking the time mate much appreciated all your answers . Steve

No worries. Post a pic of your car and I'll do some 108 colour options for you :thumbsup:

personally i dont like the stars being black... makes them looks smaller somehow; and shows dust more.

If colouring mine i would personally to the same way CJ and a few others have gone and get the gunmetal/ flash chrome (or whatever its called!) effect.
 
Here you go. The image you supplied was pretty low res but I've managed to work with it. On the last image I've taken a sample of half Colin's gloss blacks to show how they'd look on your car too (versus the matt black versions above that). Hope they help out.

I'll be honest though Stephen, I don't think black would look good on a merlot roadster...
 
Thanks again guys seems like the fairer sex thinks not a good colour combo and who am i to argue :D so do i leave or re-paint the whole car thanks Lucy for the advice.
 
I say go with your gut Steve; you're the one that has to live with it. Or if you still fancy a darker wheel then go for a different style perhaps. Maybe leave the bodywork respray option though :!:
