Glaze cherry popped!

Well I've been busy today, used a glaze for the first time Meguiars #7 show car glaze. Got to say I'm really pleased with the results.
Also quickly detailed the engine bay, not happy with it yet but it's a start nevertheless.

nice i used the poorboys and thought it looked good after. was that by hand or using a machine? after the glaze did you seal it or wax it?

I DA polished it about 2 weeks ago. I've applied 2 coats of collinite 476s as my LSP by hand, but then I thought I wonder what it look like with a glaze, and it looks as wet as a fish's wet bits! It's not sealed so its just for show at the mo :-).

The car looks great. At what point in the clean did you use the glaze? I brought come back from the states so would be interested in getting it right first time!.

i used mine after i had clayed the car and before i applied a sealer. csm 180. i was going to put a wax ontop (not polish) of that but it seemed from comments here and reading about that doing so was a bit overkill unless you wanted that really wet look to your car.

if i understand it right (good chance i dont as it seems everyone has their own oppinion) then the glaze just fills in the swirls and would just rub/wash off over time without some sort of sealer on it to protect it.

There are two ways in which you can use the glaze according to my research (note there are many people that know more than me).
The common way is to glaze, then wax or seal. That way the extra wetness is locked in. The photo's I've posted are of the glaze unprotected, it looked supper wet. I'm lead to believe that this is what people do before shows, however it will wash away.
I plan to wash the car tomorrow, re glaze and the re wax, to see if it looks as wet with the wax on top.

If be interested to see that :) keep us posted. I want to do the glaze seal wax thing to see how that fares. My car lives near trees and damn birds so the way I see it the more layers of protection the better :)

The car with wax over glaze, it lost a bit of its wetness but I'm pleased considering the price of the wax sitting on top. Picture taken 2 days after initial glaze but only just uploaded.

Nice work, I think I'm slightly addicted. The beading shot for those interested in what collinite 476s gives.
