Glad not allpress writes like this!

Pretty accurate sum up of what the car is like to drive, easy to get the back out if you give it some beans but not too unpredictable if you feather the pedal with the right feel. Interior not the most elegant mind with tacky looking dial surrounds and poor seats, but then chasing perfection is the reason for existence.

I'd pretty much agree with all of that.

Including this bit. (although, I suspect, most would still rather have the roof chopped off, despite the hair mess factor). :poke:

He sort of says a lot without really saying anything meaningful. Might be entertaining reading sitting on the toilet, but if you were shopping for performance cars, he doesn't give any useful information that can't be found on any spec sheet. I don't disagree with most things he said (except for the S14), just not keen on how he says it.

His styling descriptions in particular do not appeal to me, even though I love the styling. No doubt appeals to someone though. And drag race muscle cars? Ha! No shortage of under 13 muscle cars around to spank the MC! (but they are out-cornered by an X3)

'Carbon air box' - for a motoring journalist he doesn't seem to know much about his chosen subject. I suspect he might be a bit of a nob!

My point exactly. S14; carbon airbox, worse tongue in cheek writing style. Just rubbish really. Other than that he is correct in his description of the car and how it drives, but just makes you wonder. If there was a carnon airbox, surely as a journo you'd pop open the bonnet.

Has he actually driven it?

I used to write wine reviews and I never just tasted it, I reseached a little and certaily read the bliming back label.. If you write something that is supposed to inform/ educate/ form oppinions, you make sure you get it right (allowing a few mistakes obviously).

Just pants really.
