Anyone know..

Thanks

Think you have to take the whole facia off.

Have a look at these threads.

It's a right PITA!

Mine's died, I've given it all the technical tricks - i.e. hitting it with a big hammer :o but with no result, so now I can only

Listen to the engine :driving: :driving:

Try it

thepits, have you tried disconnecting the battery for 30mins then connecting it back up ? Seems to 'reboot' a lot of the car's systems, and a few forum members have found it helps with CD changer faults...

Thanks guys...got the PDF..

Listening to the engine with the noise inside the car is a pain...wind noise..rattling...had my wife in the car...was difficult holding a conversation...specially on the motorway...lol

Got back in the 535d..and it was super quiet...lol

No I haven't, but I have pulled its fuse, and went for a long cup of coffee and a fag.

Maybe I'll try again but this time have 2 x 2 :D

My worry on disconnecting the battery is what else it affects :o

You need to re-set the clock, and the auto open/close function on the windows. That's it.

Thanks for that, not much disruption then - but wouldn't pulling its fuse have the same effect? :?
