Getting ready for winter

Hi All:

For those of us living in the colder northern climates who must let the Z4 hibernate :( I am wondering what routine you go through during this sad time. I plan on parking my '03 in November (inside) and waiting for spring. I have purchased a BMW trickle charger to keep the battery charged and while it will be in a garage, I have a cover for it (to ensure the kids keep their paws off it). But as a new Z4 owner I would be interested in learning what other recommend.

Cheers,

Paul.

I plan to swap out my summer wheels for my winter wheels and keep on driving. :driving:

That what I do.... :driving:

Hell I don't even do that.

Oh wait, 50 is cold here.....nvm

??? You don't even have winter down there - it goes straight from 2 weeks of fall to 2 weeks of spring and then back to summer again :poke:

I do very little that I do not do all year long. I use a Battery Tender on all my vehicles except the PT-Cruiser which we drive everyday. I never drive the Zed in the rain at any time of the year. Those who live in hot climates have to worry about things like sun damage to rubber parts. Where I live we have to worry about water damage. Here the only thing we notice between winter and summer is that the rain is hotter in the summer. :(

Actually if I recall it dips in the 40's. But hey, when your used to triple digit heat that's freezing!

The other night it was around 72 and while I wasn't cold or shivering, I was cool and glad I had my BDU top on....

I recall that quite well - I grew up in Phoenix. 8)
