** N Korea in 'state of war' with South **
North Korea says it is entering a "state of war" with South Korea, in the latest escalation of rhetoric against its neighbour and the US.

I can't help thinking of the Kim Jong Il puppet from Team America: World Police...

The son is a menace. Very worrying escalation.

x2 - watching the news this morning thinking that he might just be mental enough to actually try something... And might actually have the capability to succeed, even if the rocket only gets next door to South Korea. The only good thing that would come out of it would be the US wiping him off the face of the planet in response.

i have a feeling he's very naive and is going about things in completely the wrong way.

all that will end up happening is the US intercepting any missiles and bombing the crap out of his pathetic excuse for a country.

bye bye north korea :telloff:

I personally think it's scaremongering more than anything....

All it would take Is a couple of B2 bombers to silence the north, and for this reason I don't see anything really coming of all this....

But I've been wrong before!! Shocking I know

It's not going to end well for someone is it?

well, he'll only end up killing himself and his own people, all of which seem so brainwashed that they'll never accept other countries as superior or equal.

I can remember when it was 'touch and go' at the time of the Cuban misile crisis; we all expected that WW3 might kick off at any time. Luckily, it was the Russians that were up against the USA in those days, and, with memories of Hiroshima and Nagasaki only tewnty years earlier, they at least had the brains to see what nuclear war would mean. Sadly, I don't think that some of the nations that now have weapons of mass destruction, have the same grasp of what will ensue if they press 'the button'.
Obviously North Korea could be flattened with just a small part of America's vast nuclear arsenal, but God knows what sort of hornets nest that would stir up. Hopefully Korean capablity, can be nutralised by non-nucear means (although I doubt it), but I guess they will need to start the ball rolling in order to justify intervention by America and it's allies.
But cheer up you younger chaps, if the world goes to war again, they probably won't need to call up millions to be used as 'cannon fodder', so you can keep polishing your Z4s until the big flash!

The North Koreans are still languishing in the 50s and don't quite grasp the world has moved on. In terms of their strike capability I think its been confirmed they only have old Russian scud missiles contrary to their propaganda films. The latest pics showing the berk and his generals in front of a map indicating missile targets in the USA is fantasy on their part. Its South Korea I feel sorry as their only next door and vulnerable. If North Korea went for it it would be suicide for them as they could easy be wiped out if it went nuclear.
