I'm not looking to go OTT with mods but is there anything you added to your E85 that you now would not be without?

Stubby is an asthetic mod which I support.
The essential mods for me were one touch remote roof, cruise, aux, non runflats and mfsw not neccesarily in that order.

Enjoy the experience when you get it/her.

 3.2 M engine!! , only joking wish I had one :) , updating the grill looks good clear lights if you do not already have them, I went for quad spots I think its a great mod and a must for me, also I had to have bbs lm style wheels just think they look the dogs on the Zed that what I think may will say otherwise.

Depends on the look your after?

CDV removal, cheap easy and an added pleasure to the whole driving experience.

what options has the one your getting?

MP3 interface, stubby, blackout grills, CDV all good mods as said. CDV could have been done already, hard to say without removing potentially.

My old car was a 56 plate 2.5si good for 3 years, until I was bitten by the ///M :D

Sound generator foam removal - 30 secs to do, free and aurally orgasmic

And update the satnav driver software if you have one so that you get the 'perspective' map view 8)

Of all the modifications you could possibly do, swapping the runflat tyres for regular ones has to be the only one you could call ESSENTIAL, it really does improve the ride and handling.

No sound generator on the 2.5si unless its Ben retro fitted

Of course there isn't - doh :slaphead:

Thanks all

Well it's got factory fitted bluetooth, wind deflector, Sport spec, MFSW, heated leather, CD changer, comfort package

Presumably I can just connect an Ipod through the aux socket?

The stubby looks good - does it effect reception? Is it worth buying an expensive one!?

Will get rid of runflats once they wear out

What's a CDV and what does it do!?

CDV= Clutch Delay Valve

Doesn't matter how fast you take your foot off the clutch the actual release is restricted by this valve which makes it look as if you can't drive properly and also helps wear the clutch out quicker.

Some will say you can drive round it like gannet did for about 4 years, but when he did remove in the end even he admitted it's better without.

Easy and cheap mod to do, but as said it may have been done already.

Stoopid question alert :!:

... is there a CDV associated with the auto box, and can it be removed to make the gear changes faster ?

Nope, CDV 100% relates to the manual & was BMW's idea to stop inexperienced drivers dumping the clutch & damaging the transmission... as if I'm gonna let my 18yr old son even sit in the drivers seat for a quick blast.

The auto box on a Zed is nice n smooth, but not my cup of tea in a Zed

 thanks Jembo. It is very smooth, I like it - daily driver for me with lots of miles, so suits. Horses for courses I guess :D

Just to point out to OP that Quda Spots aren't and option on the facelift.
