Look what they fished out of the bay in Stavanger this weekend, good as new .......
Not a lot of leg room inside though ....

if you click on the YouTube video link, you can see it coming out of the water still with wings and engines attached.
 
Amazing, you can just imagine a guy down the local saying it was this big....

as for how it has survived, well it would have been produced from the cheapest materials available so it's not down to that so just the location that preserved it, bit like the kitty hawk found in the desert a few weeks ago. Not German engineering just location location location

ok never heard of that one before , but just found it on wiki :
