A heads up from the Three Amigos. Cherrym is a past Porsche owner and has been contacted about this up-coming event to which Z4 Forum members are invited:

Sunday August 9th - German Car Fest at Witton Castle (off the A68, near Bishop Auckland, County Durham)
organised by Region 3 of the Porsche Owners Club.
Z4 forum members are invited to attend - The BMW club is attending - The Audi club is attending

There's a Bird of Prey exhibition and Lloyd BMW is displaying examples of their 'i' range of cars. Lloyd body shop will also be in attendance. and 'Specialist Cars of Malton' will be exhibiting.

It's on the showground and apparently there's free entry

For information if you're free that day and fancy a run out :D

:driving:

It's just prior to our holiday but might take the hail damaged disco !

The zed will be washed and polished I hope and her 335 will be ready to be put away .

I went to Witton Castle about 1300.
A good show of Porsche but not of BMW . I didn't see any evidence of a recruitment tent for the BMW club .

Disappointing - think Chezsherman and Cherrym were thinking of calling across.
I was at Croft Nostalgia Weekend (excellent  )

I had a look for any likely characters in zed 4's plenty of z3 's but only one '4
To be fair I didn't take mine as I took my wife, daughter and granddaughter including pushchair and baby paraphanalia !

In reality the event was just a big grassy car park. However, there was a smart repair man doing his stuff and I got an estimate for the hail damage on my disco 3 - £800 :(
Lloyds bodyshop manager had a stand and I had a chat with him
Swissvax also had a stand for their polished and potions - no prices shown
I did have a sit in an i8 but at £120k decided that I would leave my wallet in the back pocket.

Good decision re the i8. Keep the £119k in your bank account and get the Discovery fixed! :D

Went for a look see with Cherryman in his Z4, didn't get there until 3.15 so unfortunately a few cars had left. There were some lovely looking cars on show , Cherrym met a few of his Porsche buddies and had a good chat with them, he was going to buy the i8 but I told him he wouldn't be allowed in the photos on your hoons .
