Game of Thrones, series two has ended.

Never seen quite as much action, as many parallel stories, unsettling characters & in your face sex bundled up in a fantasy story. Would have cancelled SKY if not for this...

Anyone read the books able to comment if series 3 will get even more addictive?

Read all the books so far written - the story is still ongoing. Series three looks to be as good, some real open-jaw moments if it follows the books. series 3 was picked up by HBO in April, and is being filmed now. Don't know when its due to air though....

Also read the books - some interesting and unexpected twists to come but i wont reveal any spoilers. Hope hbo see's this series through to the end as they have a habit of cancelling all the good stuff!

Apparently each episode costs over $400,000

Which is clear to see in scenes and costumes

Great show
The actor who plays tyrion lannister (the larl fella as we say in cumbria )is bloody brilliant

Love the show as well. I'm gonna hold out on the books and see the show first. Usually the books end up outshining the movie adaptations and i dont want it to ruin the show for me. If i read them after i watch the movie i usually end up appreciating both.

So who's your favourite characters & no I haven't read the books... Yet?

3. John Snow (maybe destined to become king of the north)
2. Sansa Stark (fab character)
1. Tyrian Lannister (on borrowed time but might just escape)

One of my favorites is Bronn The Awesome! (Not really an official title...) Not Safe For Work link: http://s-p-e-c-k.tumblr.com/post/23916389858

Have to say its one of the best things on TV, haven't read the books, but have to say that it's well written, but cannot comment on the adaptation. Favourite characters, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage btw), Daenerys (cos of the dragons) all the Starks children (and of course Jon Snow).

Wish the most painful and prolonged death to Joffrey.

Is it better than coronation street?

I would say, yes........ But is it as good as The Walking Dead, well the user ratings at IMDb say it's better

Hmmm, difficult choice there sars - I'll abstain :P. Love both the Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. My son was ecstatic when the others appeared at the end of Season 2 - series had great acting, superb plot lines, is 'fairly' true to the books, has swords, witchcraft, dragons.......... and now zombies! I would say that reading the books will provide a number of spoilers involving main characters & plot lines as they can't deviate too much from the general themes, but it has not affected my enjoyment of the series one jot.

Now, the Dune film, that's another story.......

Feel the story looses some focus in books 4 and 5, just becomes too big!! Love Tyrion though, great character and so well played in the series.

Isn't Sean Bean in this....probably explains why I don't watch it, he peaked in Sharpe.

Now if you're talking Mad Men, theres some of the finest telly ever made......
