Ah yes mine is an M54, damn, thanks anyway though. I'll report back with how the car feels after this one goes in. I don't think there's any need to reset anything or disconnect the battery as part of this but if someone knows differently please say. This will now be my 5th MAF in totalpropaintballa said:Ruofdez said:Just received it today. If the other one is still for sale any chance you could send me a pm?
Yeah I can do... It's for an N52 based car though, is yours an M54?

Goodness me, I don't envy your MAF saga! Considering all the issues you've had an the likely sketchy information your dodgy MAFs have been sending to your ECU, I'd reset the adaptions. Do you have a code reader of any kind with that functionality? You can reset throttle adaptions without one but I'm pretty sure it doesn't reset fuel trims and all of the important stuff. Not sure if unplugging the battery resets those either? Potentially, never tried!

I do have INPA though it's in German so not too easy to navigate and work out what's what. Perhaps worth a look though I don't see any harm in putting the new one in and seeing how it runs initially, doubt any harm would come to the MAF as a result? I'll have to get researching to see how things can be reset.
