Genuine CSL Wheels **Not Mine**

By the time they look decent, you have spent new money. Waaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced as the tyres are useless and every wheel is a mess.

If he refurbs the wheels himself (good quality) then £1200 is probably a fair price.

As is somebody would need to spend £400 on a refurb and get a new set of tyres. Seeing as a brand new set is £1600 his wheels are very overpriced.

£800 as are, is a fair price imo.

Looking at the paint build-up around the raised identification marks, it seems like they've been refurbed a couple of times. There's even kerb rash on the inside of the rims, which usually mean he's been parking on the pavement with the outside wheels too close to the kerb - or he's been regularly driving on train tracks :P

Tyres are only half-worn though, so not really useless - and Cups are about £300 a corner.

I'd rather pay £1600 for a new set and pay another £800 for tyres with 8mm - as the Cups would only last a few thousand miles anyway before needing replacing. And you'd probably have to pay £100+ per corner to get those properly stripped back and refinished.

He says 4mm on rears, falling to 2.8 on inner edge....so they won't be legal for long and the fronts are 3mm but more worn on inner edge (so what maybe 2mm, 1.8 if same wear rate as rears) so barely legal now. A new owner would have to be looking at new tyres within 2 months (if not immediately).

Plus you get the benefit of brand new wheels, which have never been refurbed.
