Genuine CSL Wheels - Best Price

Just a heads up for anyone interested...

So I have decided to ditch my rather nice Team Dynamics and have followed the crowd and bought a set of genuine BMW CSL wheels

I rang around a few places and prices ranged from £1,770 to around £2,000. Soapers were £1,880 and wouldn't sell them to me without a CSL chassis number!

Anyway I eventually got a set for £1,500 including VAT and delivery, plus a set of genuine BMW centre caps (extra £37) from Douglas Park Hamilton BMW.

So if anyone is after some genuine CSL's I think this is as good a deal as you will find (well I hope so anyway!)

If anyone is interested, mention the forum and email Facebook, [email protected] or Facebook @topazbmwm3.

Just to add OP, but Mark @ Douglas Park doesn’t just do discounts on CSLs, he can also come cheaper on most BMW parts for all makes and models.

Very nice. Well at least the centre caps are genuine on mine. :D

Not really sure what to look for but the are being sold as Genuine CSL's. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352628135809?ViewItem=&item=352628135809

I thought there were etchings on the face of genuines? What do you look for? Ad sdays it was taken off a 2013 3 Series but that doesn't mean they are genuine, right? Just like the boxed one here.

Not interested in buying, just asking for a friend ;-)

Genuine they may be but they aren't CSLs , similar in style but these are the M359 originally from the 1M

Those are completely different alloys to the ones in the link. Do people not actually check things anymore? :headbang:

I read it Gazza was simply showing a set with what to look for with the BMW logo referred to in my description of genuine CSL’s, or have I misunderstood your point?

God knows. It's confused me also.

All I know is M359's are not CSL alloys

Exactly that, my pic shows genuine CSL wheels for reference.

Hi Shaun,

Out of curiosity what part numbers did you quote when you rang them up? I did email Mark as you suggested but didn't hear back from him unfortunately :(

Cheers
Aaron

Hi Aaron,

I had lots of conversations with him over messenger and ascertained that they were the correct wheel, on the invoice these are the numbers, I guess these relate to the wheel.

Standard Parts
M B36.13.6.783.536 CENTRE CAP 000529
M B36.11.2.282.650 Alloy Wheel 001321
M B36.11.2.282.999 Alloy Wheel 001333

I have his direct number and I can PM it to you if you wish?

Shaun

Thanks for that Shaun, useful to know those part numbers (they matched what I had which is always a good sign). I'll give him another nudge over email first, just to be sure it didn't get lost in a pile of other emails, and if I don't get anything there I'll give you a PM

He is a nice chap, before sending the wheels to me he did a full inspection of them and found a tiny, tiny imperfection. I think most people would have sent them, but he asked if I wanted to accept them, which of course I said no and so he sorted out a replacement wheel. A very good service, I also got the centre caps from him which I thought were very well priced as well.

Shame I didn't get the bolts from him, I never thought at the time, but my after market wheels that were on the car had after market bolts. I was forced to get some new ones from Huddersfield BMW, who gave exactly the opposite service, expensive and unfriendly!
