Scratch that... they won't ship to the UK anymore since Brexit :roll:

Out of curiosity had you paid for them?

I had similar with something else, paid for them and when they did the refund different exchange rate and commission, cost me £30 between purchase and refund entries in my account

They said nothing to do with them :headbang:

Yes, and no. I used Paypal, so they had straight away fronted the money when I placed the order last week, but the order had been cancelled and refunded before the money ever actually left my bank account. 🤷‍♂️

Sounds like you’ll be fine then :thumbsup:

Hi all
Forgive me for this as I am sure it will have been answered many times… but I’m new to etching out so be gentle with me :D

I have a z4mc and am about to invest in some csl type wheels, yet to be decided what to go for.
I did read somewhere that the 19’s can cause issues with fowling suspension if that gets up grades
I am looking at the B12 kit at some point after the wheels.
Also I have been looking at various 4 pot front brakes and again seen warnings about certain wheel fitments
I want as much direct fit as possible
Any ideas, examples, pointers to other forums greatly received

Just seems to be the way it is with them. Thinking about it.. I'd have thought while the car is even(ish) weight front/back, more load with be put through the rears anyway when accelerating etc?

I run CS front with CSL (Coupe Sport Lightweight) rears.

OEM tyre width can look a little stretched IMO though almost impossible to tell the difference side by side.

Here’s a video I took a little while back if it helps… through now not selling the car 👍

CS and CSL fronts need a spacer to been not sunken. I've recently bought OEM CSL in Germany, but also need a 10 or 12mm spacer fo fill up.
Running front 245 on 8,5. and 275 on the 9,5.

I did order the CS first, but sended them back and want to spent the more money for the CSL's.

In The Netherlands its no problem to source 245/275 PS4S.
Directly from France to my BMW dealer.

Is increasing the tyre size recommended?

275s are the same price but the 245s are an extra £35 each in the UK

Hi Tom,

Yes, because its closer to the size of the orginal 18inch with the 40front/35rear.
Less deviation, so should be better, but both is not the problem.
My BMW dealer in The Netherlands did 'advise' this btw.

I dunno what the price difference are here, Got them from a friend from a friend ;).
Price was to good to skip, even standard michilins where more expensive in retail.

I don't think thats correct... according to an online fitment calculator.

224 - 240 40 18 8j 30 offset the rolling radius is 2039.5

163 - 245 35 19 8.5j 44 offset the rolling radius is 2032.9

163 - 235 35 19 8.5 44 offset the rolling radius is 2054.9

The difference isnt huge but apparently 235s are closer and they are the OE CSL size from the factory.

Hi Tom,

Offtopic
Compliments about your car. I think my mail about the CSL rims didnt arrrive ;).

Ontopic
Front:
- M224: 225/45/18 42ET 8J: 2069mm
- M163: 235/35/19 47ET 8.5J: 2032mm (speedo 1.8 slower)
- M163: 245/35/19 44ET 8.5J: 2057 (speedo 0.7 slower)

Rear:
- M224: 255/40/18 9J: 2076mm;
- M163: 265/35/19 30ET 9.5J: 2019mm (speedo: 2,7% slower);
- M163: 275/35/19 27ET 9.5J: 2038mm (speedo: 1.8% slower);

Did i miss something? But the MM are closer, but the margin is negligible. Just do a long burnout on the M224 and you have little difference :).

Apologies I obviously got my figures wrong way round! Thanks for correcting.

No problem for sure, margins are realy small. But i would go for the 245/275 again, sure for the look on the rims! More beefy tires like BMW are delivering today.
So more protection for the OEM CSL rims, worth it right ;), more grip because wider tyres, less deviation with 245/275, better looks but thats personally. I think a nobrainer :).
