I'm quite interested - will these fit a facelift (mine is an E86)? And does anybody know if they come apart, as I'm tempted to try to paint the slats to match my bodywork?

They do come apart, there are clips on the back. Be careful not to lift them too high as they break easily.

Mrtidy they do come apart. As far as I am aware there's no difference between e85/e86 and M models.

Oh well, I'll go into the queue next as I've checked realoem and found that pre- and post-facelift seem to use the same part.
