Lads,
I did a search and couldn't find the answer, but will genuine 19" BBS LM's fit my 2006 Z4 Coupe 3.0is?

I may have the opportunity to buy a 2nd hand set and was wondering if they will fit?

Genuine BBS LMs come in a variety of widths & offsets, so the chances are that a set of the correct width & offset will fit.

Without knowing the specs of the ones you are looking at, it's going to be difficult (if not impossible) to say.

Thanks mmm-five. The wheels are coming off a 2004 BMW M3 CSL. I will get the widths & offsets off the seller and reply back.

They will probably be ET25 or similar coming from an M3, but fronts should be ET40 ish. They will fit but you will need narrower rear tyres, and they will stick out the arch a touch (the wheel). If they are cheap i will have them

Hi Chris,
They are not cheap unfortunately. They were purchased new in 2008, and were used for track use only (so no road grime etc..) They come with a well worn set of cup tyres.

The buyer says that a similar set of new BBS LM's cost £2,900 + VAT (for the wheels alone).

He is looking for £2,150 (or 2,600 euro) for his set. Seems a little steep to me. What do you think? Was thinking of making an offer if I can confirm they will fit my car.

They are about £3400 when i got mine years and years ago. Think you can get them for about 3k now for a staggered set. I personally would say £1500-£2000 tops, even if they were mint. But depends if he has others waiting for them. Reps are so common now that it puts people off slightly, well i did me so i went for reps :D

What wheels have you got fitted now? I can't keep up with your wheeling and dealing (excuse the pun)

Alpina Dynamic polished reps, shame for reps, but they are so so rare whatever money you throw at them :.)

Hi Chris,
The seller of the BBS LM's is gone to check the offsets and he is to come back to me.
If they wont fit my car, I am thinking of going the LM rep route (might be the smarter choice, fitting wise), but another alternative is the Aplina Dynamics:

Seen this link in e-bay: Again, not cheap but these are half the price of the LM's and would probably fit my car better.

Yeah i love them, mine are pretty similar but i will get a set of genuines when they come up. X5 wheels fit, and thats what im hoping for. They are not bad though, and i would of payed that TBH. But missed a set that went for £400 that were advertised badly, well called Alpines

This is my latest set

They have a polished lip and hyper silver centres, and they now have Alpina wheel badges, which i probably will get flamed for

Excuse the absolutely shameless plug.....

If your interested in a set of genuine Dynamics, I will be selling my set soon, as my car will be going up for sale in the next couple of weeks (As soon as I've replaced the roof motor).

Guessing I will make more selling the wheels separate to the car, so will be splitting.

Mine are absolutely MINT, have brand new Avon ZZ3's all round, oringinally came off a Z4 Alpina. So no issues with off-set or rubbing problems.

I searched for 12+ months to find a set, and when I eventually did I ended up paying silly money to get them, but it was well worth it. They really make the car, and I've had so many great comments about them..

Will be sticking them up on here as soon as I'm in a position to sell. (Would also need another set of wheels in exchange)

Anyone want first dibs? :D

still have my bbs lm reps as new 19" £450 fit perfectly with no rubbing, no tyres just rims

Anyway the seller of the genuine bbs LM's has come back to me on the size of the wheels.

They are ET32 front and ET25 rear. The full size is : 8.5j x 19h2et32 + 10j x 19h2et25.

I am guessing there is no way in hell these wheels will fit my coupe....(at least not without rubbing). Beginning to feel like replicas is the way to go.

Can anyone confirm if they have fitted wheels this size to their (non-M) Z4.....?

Thanks, Matt

The rear wheels would protrude 44mm (1.75inches) over your stock wheels. It's a no no.

Yeah as Dave said, basically ET25 on a 9.5 is do able, but on a 10j rim no basically, as even a stretch you are looking at 245 or 255 width to be realistic, and they aint going on a non M car im afraid.

Reps are fine mate, well if you dont mind, but personally these days i really dont want to be spending 3k on wheels and having the missus kerbing them. Spend £500 on wheels and kerb them, get another set

Hi Chris,
Thanks a million mate for all your advice. I think you are right, spending close to £3k on wheels and tyres is probably madness, (even if they had fitted correctly).

I will start looking for a good set of BBS LM replicas. I will still get the deep dish look but at a fraction of the cost. :)

Careful on reps, as you get really good and also really bad ones. All the sets I've had were the ones with the double step dish, which is what the genuines have. Plus they looked brilliant in the flesh. Some only have the lip which is just a dish, hard to explain but if you put them together you soon seen the difference.

Best ones are from either bmautosport or Reevawheels off eBay, although should not say this but when I got my last set off Reevawheels all the fronts they had were incorrectly drilled on the centre bore, so would not fit! Found an old set he had hidden which I had. But the dish is better on the Reevawheels ones rather than the bmautosport ones. Hth
