Genesis touring...!

So it seems I’m in good company having had the same spinal decompression op. C3/4 and 5/6 both “welded up”
Ok, I’ve got wobbly legs and a walking stick but I reckon I’m more mobile than him.

Tbh I’ll not be surprised if the whole tour isn’t cancelled with this virus spreading, in fact I’d put money on it being cancelled. :(

I would like to go and see them but had a similar conversation recently about paying a huge amount of money to see the Eagles, my mate put it into context saying that you should only pay to see bands on an upward spiral to their peak and not on their demise.

I have seen many of my heroes but feel that maybe you're better to remember them how they were rather than spend a fortune and be hugely disappointed which I'm sure most Genesis fans will be :(

This is my thought. Nothing new released since I last saw them and Phil won’t be playing. Best to remember then as they were in 2007

You’ve already seen the show then Gaz...? Do tell.....

It will be wank John..

They are all past their best, its no ones fault they are just too old to do what they did and replicate the sounds they did.

Its a shame.. I like Genesis and Phil Collins in particular but that was 30 years ago....

When they were good.

One row back from the stage dead centre @ Manchester Arena. :trampoline: :trampoline:

£480 chuffing quid though.... :o :o Never seen them before and always wanted to, it’ll be the last chance ever, they’ll not tour again so why not..? :D

Anyone else going...?

I know lots would rather stick pins in their eyes but you never know....

Saw them at York Uni's Central Hall in 1973 on their Foxtrot tour with Peter Gabriel. Tickets were ................. 70p - equivalent of £8.52 today

£480 for a ticket!!! :o
Does Phil pick you up and drive you to the gig himself  Maybe give you a blowie in the carpark :?

That's probably the top price for 2 tickets near the front. You could have have paid £600/head for a pre-concert dinner & 'free' programme if you were feeling flush.

Tickets were from about £70 - assuming Ticketmaster/Livenation's bots didn't reserve all the cheap ones within the first nanosecond of them going on sale.

If you think that's expensive, then don't bother even looking at Formula 1 prices - as it's just some cars going around in circles for two hours :poke:
