Gearbox oil change improvement ?

Hi

Looking back at old posts, owners have said a gearbox oil change has and hasn't improved notchy 1st and 2nd gear change.

The last posts were from over a year ago, has anyone recently changed their oil and have any feedback to the improvements ?

Hi

After a bit of research, I changed mine for Royal Purple synchromax - Noticeably improves the "baulkiness" of the box when cold, and when it' s good and warm it's really smooth.

Got mine from these people http://www.promaxmotorsport.co.uk/category/119-porsche-fluids.aspx . Roughly £20 a quart, Can't tell you about P&P as I collected - You will need 2 Quarts ( Gearbox capacity is 1.5 Litres)

While your underneath do both - Adamski right that removing the CDV really helps with the 1st to 2nd change. And changing the fluid smooths out the slightly baulky feel of the box.
