Gearbox Display

I put the car away today and I've noticed that the gearbox indicator light (it's an auto) has remained ON to signify it's in P position - I can't remember seeing it before. It's been on for 30mins or more and the system seems to have gone to sleep now but the little orange light is still on.
 
Just been back into the garage after about 45 mins and the indicator light is now OFF - I've never noticed it staying ON before, perhaps I'm becoming over sensitive in my old age!
 
It does tend to stay on for a bit but not 30 mins... Hey ho just another quirk of our imperfect but we can't let go Z's

Normal. I think that the engine start also remains illuminated for a similar period. Hang around and there will be all sorts of whirrs whines and clunks from the car for a good 10 mins. :|
