gear knobs!!

 In the shire Oxfordshire
Currently make a batch of gear knobs for our lovely zeds. I will be engraving the gear positions on the top i will post more picks when done. I am planing to make matching handbrake handles too. Would anyone else like one? I could even do some custom engraving within reason. Not to sure what ask for them suggestions pleases?????

How are they fixed, small Allen key jobby.

Have to say I like my illuminated ZHP to change but I'm sure you will have lots of takers.

I'm waiting for the strut brace :)
 
No problem srhutch but its gonna be after crimbo now I am afraid.

They are secured by 3 grub screws under the black o ring. Plus they are a tight fit on the shaft.

Stainless Steel 45mm diameter
 
Follow up questions which I'm sure someone will ask sooner or later:
1. Overall height?
2. How deep is the shaft hole? (Amount of height adjustment)
BTW, looks good.

Overall height is 60mm
The hole is 55mm deep

I could make one to any size you like?

Thanks very much the hand break handles should be done soon.

I am going to make matching twiddle knobs for the radio too. As soon as I figure out how to get hem off?!?!?!

Ok guys this is good news.

I will need to sell a few gear knobs to buy the aluminium for the braces.
I will be starting them in the new year. They won't be identical to the Alutec but similar. I think I will have to make the brace out of three bits of ally and weld them together. The machines just don't have the capacity to make the brace in one piece.

As for a list I think I will make the one for my car. Post some pictures and go from there.

I am off to the car to try and pull them knobs off now :thumbsup:

Interesting - says Z4 strut brace, but none of those engine pics are Z4s... At least a couple appear to be Z3s. Not that it makes a difference, as long as they are the right size I suppose.
