Gear knob removel

Any one know how to remove the gear knob on an 05 reg 2.2 model, the replacement looks like it just pushes on, i have tryed just pulling on the old one but it ant moveing

There are numerous knob threads on here, but to save you the trouble of searching, if you stick it in 2nd gear and sit in the passenger seat and heave, then that's probably the best way to get it off.

As you said it yourself,just pull out,put the car in neutral and pull as hard as you can and mind your face!

Changed mine this morning to a zhp, followed what the guys say on here gave it a good pull a couple of times and it came off............and I'm female and I haven't got muscles like Tyson either !!!

yea mind your face, i couldnt put the top down at the time because it was raining so i was crouched over the gear stick, i didnt realise just how much i was trying to get it off until it hit me in the face i felt like a right tool!!!

Someone actually managed to crack the windscreen in the process of removing the gear knob,you know who you are

I found mine fairly easy too 8) . and i was more suprised how easily the ZHP slipped on.

id love to see a pic of a black eye or cracked windscreen tho
