Gear knob fitment!

Hello people,
Just a quick question to ask how on earth the gear knobs are attached on the e85 before I break mine trying to remove it lol. Reason being that I want to fit a pool ball instead. Some might consider this abit plebish however I have had one In every car I have owned since I was 17 so seems a shame to break tradition.

It just pulls off buddy if you have a roadster. Drop the roof foot either side of the transmission tunnel and pull straight up.

Put the gear lever into 4th gear or neautral... take your roof down put a foot either side of the gear knob and pull VERY HARD straight up... expect to loose a few teeth when it finally goes though...

Sorry it took a while guys removal wasn't as bad as I expected and I managed to find someone that would make me one to fit cheaply. Cost about 7 pounds. I went for burgundy spot number 15 just a nice little touch of colour for my otherwise colourless interior.

Looks good i think if you pull the gator off you could pull it up closer to the ball. And the cable tie it in place to hide shaft.

Not bad at all. And I would expect this to be a nice heavy shift ... What's the weight of a pooling ball?

I like them because exactly as you say they do have a little bit of weight to them so they give a positive feel to them. And every car I have owned has had a different pool ball so is abit of a tradition now.

Its certainly different . I can see a few people "Cueing up" to have that mod carried out.
How much did it cost? I bet you were out of pocket by quite an amount?

It was around 7 or 8 pounds delivered. 14mm push fit same as BMW mini. Any pool ball you like there were some marble effect ones too but I decided to go traditional lol

Not too bad, once you chalk the numbers up.

It's certainly a break from the norm.
