I've just taken delivery of my 2006 Z4M coupe after a long search for just the right car.

These are pretty hard to find in Australia, and even harder to find at the right price and in the right condition.

Mine has had one suitably wealthy owner (they cost $150k new!) who has barely driven the thing. It has 13,000km on it and has been wrapped in blankets for most of its life. Pre-delivery included a $1000 BMW Inspection 1 service and they have confirmed the car is like new. :)

I've already found the forum useful when trying to pair my iphone to the onboard bluetooth...thanks! I hope that in time I can make a few worthwhile contributions myself.

Off for a drive...again...

Hello and welcome, when you have chance get some pictures on here, because

:worthless:

Streuth cobber, that's fair dinkum - or at least it will be when you post some photos (with some blues skies for the benefit of us in the UK :D ).

Welcome - hope you enjoy the car.

Welcome - what part of your tiny island you from?

Out of interest can they be imported from the Uk or are there massive import taxes and then vehicle changes required?

I live in Brisbane which is the state capital of Queensland, which is also known as the Sunshine State.

Equivalent cars in the UK are sooo much cheaper than over here, but even given that it just isn't worth importing one because the shipping cost, import duties payable, along with compliance related costs would more than double the cost of the car

Having said that, if you can find the money to get into an aussie delivered car then the value of the car holds up quite well because there aren't many available.

Hi & welcome, look forward to pics. :D

Small world eleflo. I lived in Houghton Regis as a kid. I'm sure I wouldn't know the place now though.

And I don't think it would be the place to leave a Z4MC parked on the street

Hey RidgeyDidge great to see another Queenslander on here! If you're ever up on the Sunny Coast I'd love to inspect your Z4MC (you know, just to compare to a Z4R - nothing to do with wanting a ride in an M!).

Are you much of a car modifier?
