Gauging interest: my cupholders for your blanking plates

Hi and thanks for you interest....

Why do I want to swap? Well....

Firstly, I'm not sure if they are actually the source if a rattle I've noticed from the passenger side of my car, but judging by the creaking noise they make when you release them it wouldn't surprise me if they were. I am going to tighten them up to see if that stops the rattle and if not I will take them out all together and see if that sorts it.

Secondly, I never use them - no drink or food in my car!

Obviously I understand people may not want to swap rattling cupholders but maybe someone can sort them out in a way I can't! :)

I'll let you know if I do decide to get rid of them.

ok nice one, i dont care about the rattle im sure i could 'blue peter' something up.

let me know if/when you get rid of them or f you manage to sort the problem

cheers

richard

My passenger side cupholder is still available if anyone has a black blanking plate to swap?

I can't imagine how anyone would consider a Z4 without cupholders. Where do you put your coffee?

Think hard before you part with them - you might not use them but come resale time you may regret it.

I oppose this post. Some of us have to actually do work during the day, unlike Rudd who scans the internet for deals such as this. :poke: I think I should have these because I can prove I was busy during the working day. Is the other one still going?

I've now swapped my passenger side cup holder for passenger and drivers side blanking plates, thanks ryukin!

I've left the drivers side cupholder fitted as it doesn't rattle. I don't really care about my passengers, they can bloody well hold their coffee and be grateful they are travelling in such an amazing car :D

Thanks for everyone's interest.

This thread has to be nominated as one of the best yet ........ :D

never mind engine mods, suspension tweaks, or 18" alloys ....... paint jobs, body mods or tyre selection .....
Lets get down to the serious stuff of driving and where do I put my coffee cup ........ excellent

and in honesty, when choosing mine, it was the cup holders and heated seats that swung the deal ........

I love my heated seats! Actually looking forward to the winter and the feeling of keeping my bum warm!
