Good advice, I think I will do this, although I find it hard to believe someone burning rubbish on a summers evening wouldn't think it a nuisance, but then. Whats worse I have my mum staying at times like last night, shes 83 and suffers from bronchial problems so bonfires don't help :x

if one of my neighbours had an issue with fires (we live in a rural area and everyone burns stuff) - I would look for a compromise. I think that there are probably times in a day, times in a week where a fire wouldn't be a problem - so perhaps its more a case of working out when he can burn stuff rather than a blanket ban on burning stuff at all.
