Garden - Automatic Irrigation

I don't, but my parents have a Hozelock system which is timer co trolled and has loads of pipes going from the tap it's attached to. I know they are happy with that as they have many plants in pots and are often away for a long time and it saves them hours with a watering can.

We're hoping to get a new patio done soon and definitely will get a Hozelock system when it's done, or maybe even get some of the pipes laid under the paving to reach pots furthest away.

Yeah I was debating between Hozelock or Gardena as the manufacturer.
Not sure if either is better, Gardena seems to be the more premium brand.

Options are either going to be just automate the flower beds being watered and I'll do the grass or get some sprinklers for the small patches of grass we have too :D

Yes

I put one in this year, covers the back and front gardens and the hanging baskets.

I started off with this kit:

Got that in and then bought various valves and extras from ebay to give me more control.

Well worth the effort.

Just a point of note that you may have to have a water meter fitted if you install a watering system.

I had to decommission mine else would have had to have a meter.
As it happens I've since opted for a meter and don't now use the irrigation (for the lawn)

Gardena definitely is a better make than hoselock.

I wish I could have s system, but would not know where to start with the pipes and getting to the right locations.
