Garage - wish list / ultimate man pad

Jesus!! You'll get a sun tan under that lot, hope they are on two switches so you can choose. Expect the local plod to be round with the heat signature from that - cannabis factory and all that ;)

Nothing worse than poor light :) should be nice and bright. Yep theyre on two switches (each side). Two of them are emergency lights, so if we ever get a power cut the lights come on automatically(I didn't know they had these)! Shadows drive me mad when I'm working on the car or on a bench, so hopefully I won't get any! 20 x 58w tubes = 1160w of lights. Ok, I may have gone a little ott, but got a good deal on them

What does everyone think of this for a tool box? It seems too cheap in my opinion. Can't justify a snap on one whatsoever, but like the idea.

The garage is getting completely cleared this weekend, including the bench and tools. Then the floor, which is going to take a while.

I've ordered a black roller cab from eBay for £90. Thought I'd take a punt, not expecting any form of quality from it, but it's got to be better than the one I have, so what the hell! It's being delivered wednesday :)

Also ordered the racking and bench which will delivered this week.

Not doing the floor until June-August when it's warmer as the 2 part epoxy that I'm going with needs to be applied in 20c temperatures :(

It's getting there!

Roller cab is better quality than what I was expecting, should hold the socket sets and spanners for the zed nicely.

Shelves need to be levelled properly and tied to the wall before I load them up with stuff.

Not sure what to do with the wall above the bench. Thought about putting some shelves/cabinets up, maybe a cheap tv.

Dude your garage is insane! (A must to plaster the walls & fit auto doors though) :D
I'd kill for one that size, then I'd live in it.
Shame you weren't nearer to me I get 2 part epoxy resin foc.

I'm in the process of extending mine @ the back & side, then its windows and french doors in the side as it is in the back garden and quite private.
(Tv and sound system already in there for those long days with the bottle of polish)

Shame it still won't be as huge as yours though :(

it's come a long way in the last few weeks, with a lot of hard work, but it's showing signs of being how I imagined. The double garage is one of the reason it got purchased :D

Damn! Why couldn't you be closer!!

Sounds like you're making some pretty big alterations to your own garage! Get a thread and some pics up

Checkout inkey$ recent garage makeover! He's managed to find loads of room in a single garage with a mezzanine floor and it looks great!

Looking good spearman

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get those shelves and how much did you pay ? I need some of them for my own garage to impose some order...

bigdug.com mate. £69 +VAT each for the tall ones, and £73 for the work bench with melamine surfaces (so I can wipe off paint/oil etc). Phone/email, don't buy online. Ask if they could look at the price. They discounted £30 immediately for me  they came next day.
