Love those garage with integrated lifts - all very smart. Still back in the real world, and a wander through my recent car collection.
Circa 2006, living in Brighton, but looking after the then GF's rented flat in Guildford, which had a garage. Was bored one weekend so went and painted the floor with garage paint and the walls with regular white emulsion. Parked my 323i in it to see if it would fit - did.
Interestingly she owned a Z4 2.0i SE as seen here. If anybody owns HN55KXM do let me know - I am the reason is has clear roundels.
Still, Brighton is a tough place to find a job for a contractor like me so I took a role along the M4 corridor and rented a flat from a friend in Swindon. Well, somebody has to live there. Flat came with a nice garage though, with room even to open the driver's door fully. Upgraded to a 330i Sport at this point:
Finished my contract after 12 months and with the proceeds I bought myself a 944 S2 to run as a 2nd/weekend/track car and found a garage just seconds from the Brighton sea front, so here's what this one looks like
Some months later split up with the Z4 owning GF. Moved back to Guildford and needed somewhere to park the second car, meaning I was back here again, renting the garage from my ex. Still, glad I had spent that weekend in 2006 painting the floor, now
Then sold the Porsche and the 330i, moved to a new house with a new GF, bought the Z4M and now it lives in a double alongside here 125i Coupe. As seen here:
So no fancy integrated lifts, nor racks of shoes and all of them were rented until this last one, but worth it to know the cars were safe overnight. Honestly, I wouldn't be without one.
