Wow my post stirred things up, all valid points regarding overheads garages have to contend with, have previously looked at finding a workshop for our Zedshed Group but it's just not viable financially have to make do with the home garage. Age also comes into it, bit late to think about starting anything up just be content with it as a hobby, keeps me active anyway.
I liked Mikes post regarding home maintenance and training up his son, same with me all self taught and watching my Dad some 60 years ago, just a shame my own son didn't show any interest in learning about cars, but an absolute expert when it comes to computer work which he ended up doing after University. If he needs anything for his car he knows where to come and likewise anything computer based I know where to go.
