The hot wire cutter seems to give a better finish as it fuses the cut edge into a smooth wall and doesn't distort the rest of the slabdaveR6 said:PerryGunn, that's pretty much what I used, just not a hot wire cutter, I used a router, going to have a good go at it tomorrow, T22FFN - can't bring myself to pay that much... Seems like a very good deal.
*Edit* Link appears to fail every time, just go to halfords > Motoring > Garage Equipment > Tool Chests and there's a banner for a combo 5 drawer cabinet, 7 drawer chest and 4 drawer chest for £250
It was something a neighbor did years back when I lived in Brighton, as I recall it was quite a simple process, he just traced the outlines on a styrofoam sheet, made a hole in the section that would be cut out, threaded the wire of the cutter through the hole then cut out inside the traced line - once finished he'd flipped the sheet over so you couldn't see the outlines he'd drawn.daveR6 said:Any Pictures of examples PerryGunn, could be interested in this
